Late starters

You have wanted this since you were twelve.

Start with an instructor-led discovery flight, then discuss a training plan that fits your goals. Training needs no club dues; aircraft and instruction are billed as used.

The honest answers

What actually stops adult students — and what does not.

Age is not the barrier

There is no maximum age for a private pilot certificate. Learning pace and required practice vary by person; an instructor helps you plan around your experience.

Medical, honestly assessed

Medical and BasicMed eligibility depend on individual history and current FAA requirements. Discuss eligibility with an instructor and an appropriate medical professional; a denied medical cannot simply be bypassed through sport-pilot privileges.

Time is the real constraint

Discuss a sustainable lesson frequency. Progress, weather and actual instructor and aircraft availability shape the pace.

Cost you can see coming

Training starts with a $1,000 credited deposit, then aircraft and instruction as used — no club joining fee or monthly dues. Your portal shows progress and invoices.

Nobody is watching you fumble

Instructors guide each lesson and debrief. Training is about developing skills, not already having them.

Know your aircraft

Glass panel, parachute, aircraft-specific equipment and a maintenance program run by the club. Review current status and equipment in the live aircraft record.

Your next steps

From discovery flight to first solo.

Discovery flight

Left seat, hands on the controls, with a CFI. It is a real lesson and it counts toward your logbook.

Ground and pre-solo

Airwork, pattern work, emergencies and the pre-solo written, tracked lesson by lesson in the portal.

Solo and beyond

Complete applicable medical eligibility, student certificate and endorsements with your instructor. Review each aircraft’s suitability for solo, cross-country, night and checkride requirements.
